Two men, 20s & 30s, killed & 4 rushed to hospital after horrific two-car crash on busy Donegal road as gardai shut route

TWO men in their 20s and 30s have died and four others have been rushed to hospital after a horrific two-car crash on a busy Donegal road.
The fatal collision happened on the busy N15 road at Birchhill on Saturday afternoon.
Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 2pm.
The two men who died were travelling in the same vehicle and were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Their bodies were later taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, where post-mortem examinations will be carried out.
Gardai said two others occupants of the same vehicle, a woman and man in their 20s, were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger in the second vehicle, a man and a woman in their 40s, were also brought to hospital for treatment for non life-threatening injuries.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are carrying out a technical examination of the scene.
And the N15 road will remain closed while those investigations continue.
Gardai are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 01:30pm and 02:30pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardai.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Donegal Town Garda Station on (074) 912 5888, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.”
